MERIDIAN —     A man was reportedly robbed at gunpoint Friday afternoon and Meridian Police Department authorities are trying to locate the suspect.

Lt. John Griffith, public information officer for the MPD, said Friday the victim of the robbery was not injured.

Griffith said the victim called police from a location in the 2200 block of 29th Avenue at about 1:40 p.m. Friday. When officers arrived the victim told them a black man wearing a white T-shirt and khaki pants pulled a gun on him and stole some personal items.

Police units were dispatched to the location and began canvassing the area trying to locate the suspect who was said to be between 20 and 25 years old. By late Friday afternoon no arrest had been made.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-485-1860. Information leading to an arrest could lead to a cash reward.
