Cleanup in DeKalb Friday

MERIDIAN —     Keep Mississippi Beautiful’s cleanup event for DeKalb was rescheduled and will take place Friday.

    The event will kick off at 8:30 a.m. at the Barney Brown Senior Citizens Center in DeKalb.

    Lunch will be provided for volunteers, who are are encouraged to bring their own labeled equipment, such as rakes, shovels and gloves.

    Volunteers also need to check the weather forecast and dress appropriately.
