Annual Hunters' Lunch to benefit charities

MERIDIAN —     LAUDERDALE, Miss. — Lauderdale United Methodist Church in Lauderdale, Miss. is having its annual Hunters' Lunch Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    Proceeds from the annual event will benefit local charities.

    A smorgasbord of food will be available for $7 a plate. Turkey, ham, fried chicken, dressing, dumplings and all kinds of vegetables and desserts are on the menu.

    Lauderdale United Methodist Church is located at 3632 Lauderdale Road.

    The annual event is spearheaded by the Lois Redmond Circle, a women's ministry at the church. This past year, members of the Lois Redmond Circle have made donations to the American Red Cross, Care Lodge, Love's Kitchen, Habitat for Humanity, the Pregnancy Crisis Center and Hope Village for Children.

    "Come and join us and visit with friends as you enjoy your delicious meal," one of the event organizers, Linda Clayton said. "You will be helping many charities by treating yourself to a great meal as you are out and about preparing for your Thanksgiving meal next week."
