The East Mississippi Business Development Corporation has created a new monthly award for good customer service in the Meridian area.
The prize, which will be called "One of the 88: A Better Attitude on Service" as a play on the local branding slogan "88 degrees: A Better Longitude on Life", will be given to individuals who the EMBDC deems as "encompass(ing) the essence of good customer service through attitude, demeanor, and overall service."
In order to be eligible for the award, one must be nominated, so if you know someone who you think deserves to be recognized for excellence in customer service, send it the EMBDC at P.O. Box 790, Meridian, 39302 before the second Monday of any month.
Each month's winner will be recognized in The Meridian Star and at the EMBDC's Business Before Hours.
