11 a.m.: Windmill Drive dump site a no-go

Lauderdale County District 1 Supervisor Hank Florey announced at a board of supervisors meeting this morning that a dump site will not be placed on Windmill Drive near the Highwy 39 Shell station.



Florey said he has received too many complaints from neighborhood residents to do anything but find another site for the dumpsters. The site is being moved from its previous location behind Northeast Elementary School because the dumpsters were too close to a playground there.



Florey said he does not currently know where the new dump site will be located.
