Health department holds volunteer training

The Mississippi State Department of Health is offering training on Saturday, Aug. 23, from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., at the First Assembly of Meridian in the Family Life Center, 1929 Highway 19 North, (located next to Marvin's).

This training will provide volunteers with instruction for dealing with issues relating to the Strategic National Stockpile and an overview of the role of volunteers in supporting mass dispensing operations at a Point of Dispensing (POD).
