11:30 a.m.: Governor to make Meridian job announcement

Gov. Haley Barbour will be in Meridian tomorrow to make a special announcement about new jobs coming to East Mississippi, officials said.

The governor will be joined by officials with the East Mississippi Business Development Corp., Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors and the City of Meridian to make the announcement at 11 a.m. at Kahlmus Auditorium at Mississippi State University-Meridian. The event is free and open to the public.
