George C. “Jack” Chisolm



Services for George C. “Jack” Chisolm will be held today at 2 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Higginbottom officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Chisolm, 72, of DeKalb, died Friday, July 6, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was retired from the U.S. Navy, civil service and was a cattle farmer. He fought in Vietnam and the Korean War. He was a master mason as well as a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Chisolm of DeKalb; sons, Jesse Curtis Chisolm and his wife, Cheryl, of Honolulu, Hawaii, Billy Vincent Chisolm of the Damacus community, Hugh Edward Chisolm and his wife, Wendy, of the Damacus community; grandchildren, Taylor Chisolm, Kenzie Chisolm, Curtis Chisolm; brother, William H. “Bill” Chisolm and his wife, Faye, of the Damacus community; sister, Barbara Nance of Philadelphia; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William David and Pauline Chisolm.

Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.



Mary Henrietta Cooper



YORK, Ala. — Services for Mary Henrietta Cooper will be held today at 3 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Clay Memorial Cemetery.

Ms. Cooper, 98, of York, died Saturday, July 7, 2007, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her sister, Doris Philphort of Bay Minette; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the York United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held today one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.



Jack Miller



PHILADELPHIA — Services for Jack Miller will be held today at 4 p.m. at Mars Hill Baptist Church, with the Revs. Charlie Jones and Jerry Jones officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with McClain-Hays Funeral Services in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Miller, 68, of Edinburg, died Friday, July 6, 2007, at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko.



Rachel Rae Yates



PHILADELPHIA — Services for Rachel Rae Yates will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. David Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Beatline Baptist Cemetery.

Mrs. Yates, 74, of Semmes, Ala., died Friday, July 6, 2007, at her home.

Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.



Mary Rea



PHILADELPHIA — Services for Mary Rea will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Eugene Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Rea, 94, of Philadelphia, died Friday, July 6, 2007, at Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was born and reared in Winston County but moved to Philadelphia early in life where she made her home since. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Philadelphia.

Survivors include her daughter, Gay Nell Rea White and her husband, John, of Philadelphia; sons, Bill Rea of Tuttle, Okla., Larry Guy Rea and his wife, Linda, of Kosciusko, Bobby Rea of Marietta, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Mars “Dilly” Rea and her daughter, Carol Ann Goldman.

Pallbearers will be Justin Rea, Collin Rea, Stephen Rea, Johnny White, Joshua McCoy and Tyler Politz.

Visitation will be held Monday from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charles Hales



Services for Charles “Chuck” Hales will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Rolling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Hales, 64, of Meridian, died Friday, July 6, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a retired mechanic technician.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Ivy Hales of Meridian; daughters, Pam Cooper and her husband, Buddy, of Hackberry, La., Rita Gibson and her husband, Johnny, of Sulfur, La.; step-daughters, Helen Russell and her husband, Bryant, of Chunky, Janice Thomas and her husband, Donnie, of Meridian, Brenda Thornton and her husband, Guy, of Bailey, Glenda Baggett of Meridian; step-daughter-in-law, Shirley Ivey of Meridian; step-son, Jimmy Ivy and his wife, Mary, of Meridian; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Juanita Hales Cook of Virginia Beach, Va., Norma Jean Hales Adams and Deanna Faye Hales Gibson, both of Madison, Tenn.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ina Mae Burt and Otis Murphy Hales Sr.; step-son, Butch Ivey; sister, Doris Marie Hales Smith, Hazel Ruth Hales, Ina Louise Hales Mitchell; brothers, Otis Murphy Hales Jr. and Robert Calvin (Bob) Hales.

Visitation will be held Monday from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.



William J. Bane



Memorial services for William J. Bane will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bane, 54, of Meridian, died Friday, June 29, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
