MOTHER IN WAITING, NEW MOM A soon-to-be mama Kildeer Plover has made a nesting home in a rock bed outside the Newell Paper Company. The very protective bird is guarding four eggs behind a sign stating, “Do Not Disturb the Bird (Mother in Waiting).” Below, a mother Sparrow feeds four of her young in their nest built in the ally outside The Meridian Star.
