HONORED LAWMEN

— Recently, 70 Mississippi law enforcement officers representing 24 departments were recognized in Jackson at the Annual Awards Program by the Department of Public Safety. The officers were being recognized for their efforts to remove the impaired driver from the roads in the state of Mississippi during 2007. Two deputies from the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department and one patrolman from the Meridian Police Department were honored. They were: from left, LCSD Dep. Chris McFarland with 68 DUI’s; MPD Officer Demarcus Wilburn with 84 DUI’s; and LCSD Dep. Joey Moulds with 151 DUI’s.
