SUBMITTED PHOTO On April 18, 2009, the Knights of Columbus, Council 802, honored John Johnson, news director at WTOK-TV, with the 2008 Monsignor John J. Burns Award for outstanding community service, including Johnson's involvement in raising money for the local Cancer Patient Benevolence Fund, bringing awareness to the community on the importance of cancer screenings, early detection, and the needs of cancer patients and their families. In addition, $500 was given to the Cancer Patient Benevolence Fund in honor of Johnson.
