Ruby Bailey of Marion knows there is someone out there with a golden heart but she can't quite get in touch with them.
Bailey lost a large sum of money at the Hwy. 19 Wal-Mart location in Meridian at about 2 p.m. She was entering the store in order to wire the money to her daughter in Lexington, KY to help treat her nine-year old granddaughter who is being treated for severe burns.
Bailey said a woman called Wal-Mart inquiring if anyone had reported missing a large sum of cash. Bailey knows this woman is one of good heart and mind, referring to her as a Good Samaritan.
"She wants to get the money back to me," said Bailey. "I know this is a good person. I've left numbers at Wal-Mart but I haven't heard from her yet."
Bailey said if you are the person who found the money, to please call her at 601-703-9147 or 708-712-2425.
"It doesn't matter if they have all of it or just part of the money," Bailey said. "Any amount they could give me would help my granddaughter."
