Northeast Lauderdale High School HOSA group brings home several awards

The following Northeast Lauderdale High School students competed at District HOSA competition (Health Occupations Students of merica) Saturday, Jan. 26, at Meridian Community College.
First place was awarded to Cameron Burford and Brandi Bourgeois in the category of Career Health Display. They also received a $500 scholarship from MCC.
Taylor Gregory and Laura Peppenhorst placed second in the EMT display category and fourth place was awarded to Brittany Twilley in the Extemporaneous Health Poster category. Fourth place was awarded to Elizabeth Runyon and Briana Lee in the Career Health Display and fifth place was awarded to Kathy Penn for her medical photography.
The following students will also go to compete in the State HOSA Competition April 9-12 in Jackson, Dalton Newell, Tyler Blackwell and Frances Alexander, Clinical Specialty, Lauren Zettler.
Mrs. Trawick the HOSA sponsor is excited and proud of the students and their accomplishments.
