MERIDIAN —     Long Creek Community Development Club members provided a potluck appreciation supper for the Long Creek Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department and their families during their Oct. 14, 2013, meeting.

It was announced that Zero Day will be held Oct. 26 at the ball field behind the clubhouse. The annual fest was postponed in September due to inclement weather. The day event will include kids activities, crafts and informational booths, great food, and more.

Booths are still available; the cost is $20. For more information, contact Winky Litchfield at (601) 485-3905 or Rae Carol Enzor at (601) 693-4190.

Yard of the Month honors for October went to Dale and Theresa Minchew of Mini Farm Road.
