Southern Debutante Assembly will present honorees

MERIDIAN —     The Southern Debutante Assembly will present its 2013 honorees at its annual Presentation and White and Gold Ball, which will be held Dec. 28 at the Greenwood Country Club in Greenwood.

    The group of young ladies to be presented includes:

    • Matelyn Rivers Countiss, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Richard Countiss IV of Meridian. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Joseph Francis Miller of Meridian and the late Mrs. Burns Hudson of Meridian and the late the Honorable John Richard Countiss III of Jackson and the late Mrs. Countiss.

     A graduate of the Lamar School in Meridian, Miss Countiss currently attends the University of Mississippi in Oxford, where she is a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.

    Mr. Countiss will present his daughter at the ball.

    • Elizabeth Caroline Martin, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Irvin Leroy Martin III of Meridian. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Gayle Ellis of Lambert and Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Leroy Martin Jr. of Meridian.

    Miss Martin graduated from the Lamar School in Meridian, and currently attends Mississippi State University in Starkville, where she is a member of Chi Omega sorority.

    Dr. Martin will present his daughter at the ball.

    • Elizabeth Ogden Patterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William McRee Patterson of Meridian. Her grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Russell Harman Wilson of Natchez and the late Dr. and Mrs. Russell Horner Patterson Jr. of Memphis, Tenn.

    Miss Patterson graduated from the Lamar School in Meridian, and currently attends Mississippi State University in Starkville.

    Her father will present her at the ball.

    • Sadie Elyse Wilkinson, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Brian Lee Wilkinson of Meridian. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thaddeus Alphonso George of Meridian and Mrs. Charles Lee Wilkinson of Meridian and the late Dr. Wilkinson.

    A graduate of the Lamar School in Meridian, Miss Wilkinson currently attends the University of Mississippi in Oxford, where she is a member of Chi Omega sorority.

    She will be presented by her father.
