DECATUR – The East Central Community College Players will present their annual fall dinner theater Nov. 14-16 at 7 p.m. in Mabry Memorial Cafeteria on campus.
This year’s presentation, “Blazing Guns at Roaring Gulch,” a comedy by Shubert Fendrich, is directed by ECCC English instructor Stacey Pollock.
“The story takes place in the lobby of the Roaring Gulch Hotel, where the hero, Harry Heartstone (Jeremy Hudson of DeKalb), is found in hot pursuit of the villain, Snipe Vermin (also played by Hudson)," Pollock said. "Here the story takes an unusual turn because the villain and hero are twin brothers and it is inevitable that the two should meet face to face! ”
The play also features additional characters, including a lady sheriff, an evil proprietress, a stranded actress, a nutty sidekick and a traveling theatrical group.
Additional cast members include Chelsey Smith (Willie Lovelace) of Brandon, Delaney Kilgore (Betty Black) of Newton, Will Stokes (Bill Filbert) of Philadelphia, Bristol Buffington (Widow Black) of El Paso, Texas.; Danielle Shelley (Martha Muldoon) of Sebastopol, George Conner Bond (Colonel Crabtree) of Brandon, Shelby Davis (Flora) of Oxford and Virginia Easley (Dora) of Nanih Waiya. Stephanie Neal of Edinburg serves as a member of the technical crew.
