MERIDIAN —     Jim and Martha Brazelton of Diamond Valley Garden in Guntersville, Ala., presented a slide show featuring images of their garden, as well as their new and future introductions at the March meeting of The Meridian Daylily Club.

The Brazeltons' garden will be one of four tour gardens featured during the American Hemerocallis Society Region 14 Spring Meeting, June 13-14, in Madison, Ala. This year's event will be hosted by the North Alabama Daylily Society.

The couple also discussed their hybridizing program. Jim concentrates on large reds and purples with wide edges, while Martha prefers patterns and unique daylilies.

The Meridian Daylily Club meeting was held March 15, 2014, at Western Sizzlin Steakhouse. After lunch and fellowship, a brief business meeting was held.

Daylily door prizes donated by the speakers were won by Pete Connolly, Pat Howse and Linda Moffett.

There club will not meet in May, as members will be taking a bus trip to Hattiesburg to tour the area's open gardens.

The club's next regular meeting will be held July 19 at 11 a.m.. The featured speaker will be Mary Jean Meadows. Guests are welcome to attend
