Wolfe read the National Defense Report, which detailed former president Ronald Reagan's views on freedom. Billups read the American Indian Minute.

Porter welcomed the club's newest member, Laurel Van Zandt, granddaughter of Nell McMullen.

Sunshine reports were presented for Kay Bailey, Glaniece Roberts, Shirley Stoddard and the Opal Mitchell Family. Everyone was asked to remember them in their prayers.

During the business session, Angela Howington read the minutes; they were accepted. Thompson read the treasurer's report; it was filed as read.

Porter reminded the group that the MSSDAR State Conference will be held in Jackson Feb. 13-15. Wolfe will represent Pushmataha Chapter at the conference.

Alman proposed Billie Dendy as a new member. Dendy will be voted on at the chapter's next meeting, which is scheduled for Feb. 13.

Hostesses for the meeting were Louise Williamson, LouAnn Lamar, Lisa Holland, Mahala Roberts, Gage Black and Elizabeth McLendon.
