MLT announces 2014 Youth Theatre Workshop

MERIDIAN —     Meridian Little Theatre will hold its annual Center/Stage Youth Workshop July 7-11 at the Highway 39 North playhouse.  

    Geared to students who have completed first through sixth grades, the workshop will offer students ideas and skills to use in developing their dramatic abilities. During the week, participants will experience all aspects of live theatre: acting, singing, dancing and staging. Past experience is not required.

    Sessions will begin at 9 each day and end promptly at noon. A mid-morning snack will be provided. Parents are invited to see what the children have learned as they perform July 11 at noon.

    The workshop is directed by Sidney Covington and Carol Sue Wiggins, with MLT Director Ronnie Miller serves as advisor.

     Tuition is $100 for each student, which includes a workshop T-shirt. A registration deposit of $50 is required for reservation. A limited number of scholarships are available. The deadline for the deposit is June 15,. The workshop will be limited to the first 75 who register.
