EMSH Holiday Shoppe gearing up for business

Holiday enthusiasts have begun looking through the Sunday sales papers and scouring stores in search of perfect gifts for special people on their holiday shopping lists. The list may take some length of time to complete, but the feeling of satisfaction that shoppers get when they find that perfect gift greatly outweighs any feelings of angst that may come about during the process. After all, it is Christmas. And Christmas is a time of giving.

East Mississippi State Hospital would like to invite you to consider our family during the holiday season. As the second largest mental health facility in Mississippi, EMSH is licensed to serve over 600 individuals each year. And for many of the individuals, an EMSH Christmas is the only one that they will receive. Over the past few years, EMSH has been blessed with the support of local volunteers and organizations that have graciously provided small gifts and a little bit of holiday cheer to the individuals in our care.

It is our wish that each person we serve be able to have a small gift and attend a holiday party once again this year. We would like to invite you to participate by sponsoring a Christmas party for one of our units or by contributing gifts to our Holiday Gift Shoppe. Whether it’s a pair of gloves, playing cards, handkerchiefs or even a festive card, all contributions will be generously accepted. We encourage you to contact the EMSH Office of Public Information and Volunteer Services at 601-481-1277 to find out how you can help an individual in need this holiday season.

We would like to thank you for your support and generosity in making the holidays at East Mississippi State Hospital and the R.P. White Nursing Facility a time that will be enjoyed and remembered fondly by those individuals in our care.
