Pleased with the movement

The enthusiasm in the crowd was evident Tuesday night August 11 at the EMEPA auditorium as The Meridian Tea Party.com jelled from two separate groups in late June, to a consolidated, committed group intent on making change in our country. Volunteers by the droves joined the committees needed that will allow average, everyday citizens the chance to participate in our government by furthering the cause of individual freedom.

Over 150 people attended the meeting with citizens from at least three counties present. Chip Reynolds, District Director for Congressman Greg Harper, was there to give us insight into the inner workings of Congress regarding important issues such as health care and to take questions from the group. Many Tea party members also made excellent points as well as everyone had an opportunity to participate.

Americans from across the country will be going to Washington for a Tea Party Rally at the Capital on September 12, 2009 and The Meridian Tea Party will have a sizable contingent attending as well. Any one wishing to travel with the group can contact www.meridianteaparty.com for more information. Let’s fill up Washington with concerned citizens!

In addition to the group going to Washington for the 9/12 Rally there will be a local rally on September 12 in Meridian as well. We would love to fill the streets with peaceful but determined citizens that want to express their patriotism while calling for change in our government. Please go to www.meridianteaparty.com in the coming days or watch and listen to other media for the time and location of the local event.

We would like to invite anyone interested in becoming a part of Meridian Tea Party.com to visit the web sight, www.meridianteaparty.com and join the fight for freedom.
