Because I was busy last week teaching Vacation Bible School, I am late responding to your July 24 Meridian 360. I was appalled by the provocative picture on the cover and identical, tasteless picture inside. I have thought for some time that your managing editor, Steve Gillespie, should relocate to California. Obviously, he is misplaced in our rural, Bible Belt state managing what has traditionally been a family newspaper.
As a veteran educator, I am relieved school was not in session. I can not imagine a classroom of children or youth experiencing “Mississippi Hotties” through Newspapers in Education.
