Thanks for the hard work

Several weeks ago my granddaughter asked if I could proctor at her school for the MCT (Mississippi Curriculum Test). I retired from the Meridian Public System and Anna knew if I could help out, I would.
The teacher of the class was absolutely wonderful. Before the students even picked up a pencil to start taking the test, you knew the teacher loved her students. Ms. Taylor said to her students that she had tried her best to teach them from August until now, things they needed to know that may be on the test, and that this test was very important. That was not all she said to them, she said “I love each of you so much, do your best class, that’s all I can ask of you." I think she was saying ‘the ball is in your court, it’s up to you now.' Ms Cynthia Taylor, I certainly hope I have not embarrassed you, but I want others to know the kind of teacher you are in the classroom. I’m sure the Meridian public school system knows, and now others will know what a good teacher you are.
I could not believe what I read about a teacher at Meridian High School was accused of violating standardized testing procedures. This is absolutely unacceptable.
Thanks, Ann Aycock Mims (my granddaughter), Ms Haley Shirley and Ms Cynthia Pouncy for asking me to proctor at Magnolia School. I am looking forward to next year.
