Thanking a kind young man

May 11, 2008 12:58 am

On Friday May 2, I was involved in an accident on the interstate in front of Hudson’s where a log truck ran into the right side of my car and pushed into to the median wall. While the log truck that hit me or anyone else did not stop, one good samaritan did. Joe Norwood Jr. was that good samaritan. He made sure I was OK and called the police and my husband to inform him that I was in an accident on the interstate. He stayed with me longer than he probably should have. He stayed until my husband and son arrived on the scene and stayed until we left. He was the kindest young man that I have had the opportunity to come across in a long while. I appreciate his thoughtfulness and his sincerity. He could have been like everyone else and continued with their lives and drove off, but he cared enough to check on me.
