Thanks for the memories, friendship

I have just returned from a celebration service of Mr. Bill McBride. It was a wonderful service celebrating the life of one of the finest gentlemen Meridian has ever had. As I heard his daughter speak of how she always wanted to write the paper and nominate him as Man of the Year, I must say that I felt the same way. Everywhere you look around this fine city, you can see something beautiful that Mr. Bill put his hands on. Besides his family, this city was his life. And I also think that Mr. Bill should be recognized as that man, Man of the Year and beyond.

To Mrs. Vi and family, thank you for sharing him with us and you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Bill, thanks for the memories, the friendship and your loving care for not only me but this city that you loved so much.
