There are so many false teachings in the churches now. We are taught that the "old covenant" they call it "God's" Ten Commandments were abolished when Christ died, and are for Jews only. But, what does God in His word, the Bible teach?
Psalms 111:7-8 teaches, "All thy commandments are sure and stand fast forever."
In Deuteronomy 5, the subject is keeping God's 10 commandments, verse 20, Oh that there were such a heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all of my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever (True or false!).
Do you see the plain truth? They were to be observed right on through New Testament times and forever.
In Matthew 28:1-6, it teaches that three days and three nights after all had him nailed to the cross, the true Sabbath (Saturday), was still the day before the first day of the week (Sunday).
It teaches, "In the end the Sabbath, as it began to dawn towards the first day of the week, Mary Magdeline and the other Mary came to see Jesus' tomb, and the angel told them, 'He is not here, for He has risen.'"
Romans 2:13, "Not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified." Faith establishes the law (Romans 3:31).
Jesus taught and obeyed God's commandments (Matthew 19:17, John 15:10)
God's law is simple ... love. All of humans suffering, unhappiness, misery and death has come from its transgressions. Romans 13:10 says love is the fulfilling of the law.
Laws are made to be obeyed! And to keep the law requires faith. But not our own natural love it requires the love of God shed abroad in our hearts ... by the Holy Spirit. And it is possible through faith, and the gift of God's Holy Spirit, for man to keep His righteous commandments! And whoever claims differently God calls a plain liar in First John 2:4.
The "stranger" (Gentile) is commanded to keep God's Sabbath in Exodus 20:10.
Leviticus 25:22 says you shall have one law for the stranger (Gentile) as for one of your own country.
Satan, the great counterfeiter and deceiver has brought about many false teachings. In Revelation 12:9 the devil that deceives the whole world.
