Thanks for the continued support

Dear friends and neighbors of Rick and Stephanie Nowell: Many of you may be aware that Rick has been battling Aplastic Anemia for many months now; Rick is 29 years old. He married Stephanie Henderson of Meridian and they have just had their first child, a daughter named Hannah Morgan, born on Feb. 5. Rick was raised in the Toomsuba Kewanee area. His parents are Charles and Beverly Nowell of Lauderdale. He attended Salem Baptist Church, graduated from Southeast School and Meridian Community College. After college he worked at channel 24/30 TV Station. Before his illness he was working at Leading Edges Advertising. He was diagnosed in October 2007. Aplastic Anemia occurs when the bone marrow produces too few of all three types of blood cells, red and white and platelets. As some of you may know he has been receiving blood transfusions and platelets since October from University Medical Center in Jackson, which this is only a temporary treatment. His sister Regina Miller has been tested as a bone marrow donor. Rick will have to undergo chemotherapy treatments to prepare his body for the bone marrow transplant. These past several months have been incredibly challenging for Rick and Stephanie, emotionally, physically and financially. He has no insurance and has already accrued astronomical amounts of medical bills in Meridian and Jackson.

We thank you so much for your prayers and encouragement during this difficult time. A fund-raising campaign has been established to help offset their financial burden of all these medical costs. Please make contributions to Citizen's National Bank, 512 22nd Avenue, in Rick Nowell's name.

Thank you and God bless you for your help.

Friends and family of Rick and Stephanie Nowell
