Thanks for the support through a tough time

The family of Richard Smith would like to take this time to thank all of the people involved in the search and recovery of our dad. First of all we thank the Lord for giving us strength to get us through this difficult time in our lives, without Him we don't know how we could have made it through each day. We would like to thank everyone for all your prayers, the cards you sent, and all the phone calls expressing your love and concern.

Thank you to all of you who sent food, all the beautiful flowers, and also to those of you who sent money, your generosity was needed and greatly appreciated. Those of you who stayed with our mom while we were out searching, thank you so very much. A special thanks to all the volunteers, family and friends, and even strangers, who got out and helped us with the search of our dad, especially David Sharp and all the people from LEMA. Davis was there with us through a lot of ups and downs and we will forever thank him. Also thank you to the people who came forward and provided information leading us to find our dad. The Red Cross, thank you for the food that you sent to the Evangel Temple during one of our searches. The printing companies, Luke Printing and Bernhards Printing, thank you so very much for all the flyers that you donated to help in the search.

Thank you to the media, the people at The Meridian Star for keeping our dad's headlines and picture in the paper, and to the people of Newscenter 11 for keeping the public aware to all that was going on.

Thank you to the officers who went above and beyond the call of duty to help us with the search.

Last and certainly not least, thank you to all of our family, friends, and neighbors who helped our mom and our family get through everything we have been through, with your love, compassion and prayers you have helped us more than you will ever know. Our dad was a wonderful father, husband, brother and friend. We love him and miss him very much, but we are glad to finally have closure and to know that he is at home with the Lord. Thanks again and my God bless you all in a very special way.

Hollie Kidd, Kelly Huddleston and Bethany Dolan
