MERIDIAN — Stolen Vehicle

    At 2:34 a.m. Thursday, police found a vehicle abandoned on 14th Street. Further investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen from the 1300 block of 24th Avenue. The vehicle was returned to its owner.

     Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Auto Burglary        

    Police responded to an auto burglary in the 1700 block of Second Street. Officers were shown where entry was made through a window and miscellaneous items were stolen.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's       Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    • DUI — Christopher R. Gray, 42, 7883 CR 350, Meridian.

    • Felony bad check — Ladora Scott, 29, 416 Howard Johnson Rd., Porterville.

    • DUI — Brian E. Sims, 39, 605 31st Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI — Paula A. Thompson, 42, 14316 Hwy. 43, Vandiver, Ala.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    DUI

    • 18th Ave., Meridian.

    • 30th St., Meridian.

    Burglary

    • 3100 block Russell Mt. Gilead Rd., Meridian.

    Theft

    • 8900 block Hwy. 19 N., Collinsville.

    • 4900 block Valley Rd., Meridian.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    • DUI — Lauren B. Harrison, 20, 7971 Dabbs Rd., Meridian.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    • Disorderly conduct — Krissy N. Bennett, 33, 2310 Gravier St., New Orleans, La.

    • Disorderly conduct — Shanice M. Perry, 20, 3146 East Cook Rd., Lauderdale.

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.  

    • Assist police, Davis St.

    • Lock-in, 14th St.

    • Medical assist, 14th St.

    • Grass fire, 8th St.

    • Grass fire, Sweet Gum Bottom Rd.                     

    The volunteer fire departments reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    

    • EMS, Birch St. (Suqualena)

    • EMS, Hwy. 11/80 (Toomsuba)

    • Assist other agency, Hwy. 19 N. (Collinsville)

    • Brush fire, Wilsondale Rd. (Collinsville)

    

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 35 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Thursday and 3 p.m. Friday.
