MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.  

    Residential Burglary

    • At 8:10 p.m. Monday, police responded to a burglary in the 1100 block of 30th Avenue.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's      Department

      The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests from 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday

    • Failure to pay justice court — Kevin M. Dearman, 39, 11538 Hwy. 80 W., Meridian.

    • Possession of marijuana — Tony R. Elgin, 19, 114 Shields Road, Meridian.

    • Probation violation — Marcus A. Johnson, 29, 2820 40th Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI — Jole H. Laitmer, 41, 4224 38th St., Meridian.

    • Probation violation — Rachel W. Rasberry, 28, 4923 S. L. Wilson Road, Meridian.

    • Forgery — Arthur J. Smith, 62, 1011 Grand Ave., Yazoo City.

    • DUI — James W. White, 43, 1268 Leo Lockhart Road, Meridian.

    Sexual assault

    • 4800 block Valley Road, Meridian.

    DUI

    • 22nd Ave. at I-20 W., Meridian.

    • 8th St. at 31st Ave., Meridian.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.   

    • Vehicle accident, Hwy. 39 N.

    • Smoke removal, 15th Avenue

    • EMS, North Hills Street

    • Lock out, Pippins Road

    • Electrical problem, Hwy. 493.

    • Trash fire, 7th Avenue

    • Vehicle accident, 8th Street

    • Electrical problem, 14th Street

    The volunteer fire departments reported emergency runs between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

    • EMS, Trick Talbert Road (Bailey)

    • Vehicle fire, Highway 496 (Toomsuba)

    • Traffic accident, Highway 19 N. (Suqualena)

    • Grass fire, I-20 (Toomsuba)

    • Vehicle fire, Highway 19 S. (Southeast)

    • Brush fire, Long Creek Road (Long Creek)

    • EMs, Russell Topton Road (Russell)

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 31 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Sunday and 3 p.m. Monday.
