Law Enforcement Reports: 3-13-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • Domestic violence — Joshua B. Alexander, 36, 1116 24th Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI — Antonio T. Evans, 26, 2104 26th Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI — Dominie D. Kelly, 22, 2676 St. Charles St., Meridian.

    • DUI — Charles H. Holloway, 52, 1523 48th Ave., Meridian.

    • Malicious mischief — Nehemiah S. Kilpatrick, 28, 933 44th Ave., Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.  

    Commercial Burglary

    • At 11:41 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a commercial burglary in the 1600 block of South Frontage Road.

    Auto Burglary

    • At 8:07 a.m. Monday, police responded to an auto burglary in the 1500 block of Tommy Webb Drive.

    • At 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, a victim came to the police department and reported an auto burglary that occurred in 100 block of 71st Place.

    • At 12:12 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to an auto burglary in 4500 block 40th Street.

    Residential Burglary

    • At 8:17 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a burglary in the 2100 block of 35th Avenue.

    Shootings

    Meridian Police responded to four shots fired calls Tuesday night.  There was no evidence of anything being hit.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests from 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday

    • Probation violation — Jeremy C. Trussell, 27, 3466 Lauderdale Road, Lauderdale.

    

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    Theft

    • 10500 block Collinsville Martin Road, Meridian.

    • 9000 block Twitley Branch Road, Meridian.

    DUI

    • 29th Ave., Meridian.

    Burglary

    • 6900 block Shirley Clark Road, Meridian.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Fire runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.   

    • Trash fire, Hwy. 19 N.

    • Cooking fire, 9th Ave.

    • Vehicle accident, Hwy. 19 N.

    The volunteer fire departments reported emergency runs between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • Traffic accident, Hwy. 494 (Suqualena)

    • EMS, Marion Drive (Marion)

    • EMS, Hwy. 494 (Suqualena)

    • Vehicle fire, J. O. Thomas Road (Toomsuba)    

    • Fire alarm, Lake Mailande Road (Clarkdale)

Ambulance runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 39 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 3 p.m. Wednesday.
