MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    • Begging — James H. Conn, N/A, homeless.

    • Shoplifting — Michael J. Ramsey, 28, 2002 9th Ave., Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported no incidents between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.  

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests from 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday

    • DUI — Brandy Hutchinson, 40, 10905 Woods Rd., Meridian.

    • Failure to pay child support — Deantony T. Lard, 27, 5690 York Rd., Lauderdale.

    

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    Burglary

    • 1100 block Aycock Rd., Meridian.

    DUI

    • Hwy. 19 N., Meridian.

    Shooting

    • 2300 block Whitaker Rd., Meridian.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

Fire runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.   

    • False alarm, 33rd St.

    • Vehicle fire, 8th Ave.

    • Fire, other, Hwy. 39 N.

    • Hazardous condition, 15th Pl.   

    The volunteer fire departments reported emergency runs between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    • EMS, McKeithan Ln. (Martin)

    • EMS, Pirsock Rd. (Toomsuba)

    • Assist other agency, Will Wright Rd. (Southeast)

    • Traffic accident, Lauderdale Toomsuba Rd. (Toomsuba)

    • Traffic accident, Buntin Gunn Rd. (Bailey)

    • EMS, Lizelia Rd. (Marion)

    • EMS, Hwy. 19 N. (Suqualena)

Ambulance runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 36 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Thursday and 3 p.m. Friday.
