MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • DUI — Joshua R. Timms, 28, 1506 Long Creek Road, Meridian.

    • DUI — Tony Wilson, 33, 4510 25th Court, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Martha G. Bundrum, 43, 2629 St. Andrews St., Meridian.

    • DUI — Bryant D. Barns, 27, 2113 11th Ave., Meridian.

    • Possession of controlled substance — Johnnie D. Irby, 44, 4901 14th St., Enterprise.

    • Receiving stolen property — Juwan J. McCallum, 17, 107 71st Place, Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.  

    Commercial Burglary

    • At 9:43 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a burglary in the 2300 block of South frontage Road.

    Auto Burglary

    • At 7:24 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to an auto burglary in the 200 block of North Hills Street.

    Residential Burglary

    • At 3:16 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a burglary in the 5800 block of 19th Avenue.

Lauderdale County Sherriff’s Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests from 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday

    • Possession of marijuana — Justin Fowler, 33, 1723 16th St., Meridian.

    • Stalking — William A. Grayson, 46, 6268 Zero Road, Meridian.

    • Giving false information — Chiquita D. Hopson, 30, 4640 Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian.

    • Possession of drugs in correctional facility — Angela M. Toaster, 29, 5150 Williams Drive, Jackson.

    • Failure to pay child support — James L. Westerfield, 27, 7547 Pine Springs Road, Bailey.

    

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    DUI

    • Russell Drive at Hwy. 11/80.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • DUI — Demetrius R. Robinson, 35, 1710 9th Ave., Meridian.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Fire runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.   

    • Vehicle accident, 17th Street

    • False alarm, 35th Avenue

    • Good intent call, 33rd Avenue

    The volunteer fire departments reported emergency runs between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • Vehicle fire, Hwy. 45 N. (Marion)

    • EMS, Valley Road (South)

    • EMS, Gowdy Road (Lauderdale)

    • Traffic accident, Lockard Lake Road (Suqualena)

    • EMS, Meehan Savoy Road (Meehan)

Ambulance runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 36 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 3 p.m. Wednesday.
