MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Credit card fraud — Kevin H. Cox, 32, 174 Crescent Lake Road, Meridian.

    • Possession of marijuana — Tracie Evans, 47, 172 MLK, Hickory.

    • Simple assault — Gregory L. Lewis, 53, 2606 Edgewood Drive, Meridian.

    • Public drunk — Matthew Oberry, 23, 5219 Williana, Tampa Fla.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the the following incidents between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    Burglary

    • 4800 block Manning Street

    • 1800 block 16th Avenue

    • 2400 block North Hills Street

    Wednesday, Meridian Police arrested 32-year-old Kevin H. Cox of Meridian and charged him with credit card fraud. His bond was set at $25,000.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Grand larceny — David M. Covington, 33, 4790 J. W. Reynolds Road, Meridian.

    • Carrying a concealed weapon — Derrell D. Cox, 23, 3839 42nd St., Meridian.

    • Possession of marijuana — Garland J. Murray Jr., 21, 4401 40th Ave., Meridian.

    • Felony bad check — Sonya S. Spivey, 44, 6245 17th Ave., Meridian.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    Assault

    • 10600 block Highway 80 W., Meridian.

    DUI

    • Old Marion Road, Meridian.

    Burglary

    • 10700 Highway 494, Meridian.

    • 1900 block Russell Mt. Gilead Road, Meridian.

    • 4000 block Vimville Causeyville Road, Meridian.

    • 12900 block Rocky Ridge Road, Collinsville.

    Theft

    • 9700 block McKinnon Street, Meridian.

    

Mississippi       Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

Marion Police   Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.  

    • Odor of smoke, Highway 11 S.

    • Smoke removal, South Frontage Road

    • Vehicle accident, Highway 39 N.

    

    The volunteer fire departments reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 35 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Thursday.
