Law Enforcement Reports: 4-12-14

MERIDIAN — The Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday:

    • Burglary-commercial building, cars, etc. – Jantzen Alexander Jones, 19, 2000 Broad St., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting, less than $250 – Tyeisha Pritchett, 21, 3826 Fifth St., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting, second offense – Takeesha Rena Ruffin, 25, 1318 19th St., Apt. C-1, Meridian.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday:

    • Accessory before the fact – Bobby Ray Baker, 24, 1520 47th Ave., Meridian.    • Failure to pay (Justice Court), two counts – LeDarrius Santwann Fluker, 21, 3295 Lauderdale Road, Meridian.

    • Burglary-Dwelling house – Robert Gardner, 30, 1213 A dogwood Lake Road, Meridian. Gardner is also charged with attempted armed robbery.    • Domestic violence – Joshua William George, 26, 11170 Aycock Road, Meridian.    • Felony Driving Under the Influence (DUI) – David Kyle Hancock, 43, 5141 Shiloh Vimville Road, Meridian.

    • Domestic violence/Simple assault – Angela Owen D. Harrington, 44, 2863 Peavy Road, South B, Chunky. Harrington is also charged with trespassing.

    • Burglary, dwelling house – Harlie R. Haskins, 20, 5607 Harve Chatham Road, Meridian.

    • Probation violation/Parole – Mychal Alexander Williams, 24, 26 Magnolia St., Hickory.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents between 9 a.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday:

Burglary

    • 200 block of Springhill Road, Meridian.

Armed robbery

    • 10600 block of Highway 80 West, Meridian.

Assault

    • 5100 block of Shiloh-Vimville Road, Meridian.

Theft

    • 12200 block of Hand Road A, Collinsville.



Mississippi Department of Corrections

    The Mississippi Department of Corrections reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday:

    • Burglary-Dwelling house – Gerry M. Hill, 21, 1208 31st Ave., Meridian.

    • Felony DUI – Thomas Jacob Joiner, 29, 468 Jeffery Acres Road, Meridian. Joiner is also charged with malicious mischief/vandalism.

Fire runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency run for Thursday:  

    • Building fire                    23rd Street

    • Bomb scare, no bomb        Second Street

    • Vehicle accident                14th Street

Ambulance runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 47 emergency runs Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
