MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police

Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Probation violation — Demetrius T. Portis, 27, 4602 East Prisock Rd., Lauderdale.

    • Simple assault — Vickie Clay, born 1976, 38th Ave., Meridian.

    • Simple assault — born 1958, Pacific St., Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    Auto Burglary

    • 800 block of B Street, unknown time.    

    Commercial Burglary

    • 1500 block of 16th Ave., daytime.

    Residential Burglary        

    • 1500 block of 14th Ave., attempted, nighttime.

    • 1400 block of 13th Ave., attempted, nighttime.

    • 1600 block of 11th Ave., daytime.

    • 1600 block of 31st Ave., nighttime.

    • 1500 block of 19th St., unknown time.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Shoplifting — Corey T. Chambers, 21, 3235 Russell Mt. Gilead Rd., Meridian.

    • Failure to pay child support — Kevin R. Temple, 30, 308 3rd Ave., Newton.

    

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    Theft

    • 6600 block Poplar Springs Dr., Meridian.

    Assault

    • 600 block Dogwood Lake Rd., Meridian.

    • 10600 block Hwy. 80 W., Meridian.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

Fire runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.  

    • Vehicle accident, I-20

    • False alarm, Hwy. 19 N.

    • Gas leak, 23rd Ave.

    • Service call, 26th Ave.

    • False call, Hwy. 39 N.                          

    The volunteer fire departments reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • EMS, Peninsula Dr., Lauderdale.

    • Trash fire, Homestead Rd. (Russell)

    • Traffic accident, Lauderdale Toomsuba Rd. (Toomsuba)

Ambulance runs

    

    Metro Ambulance reported 35 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Thursday.
