MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department



The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.



    • Trespassing — Brandy R. Jackson, 30, 3425 40th Ave., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Brian L. Robinson, 22, 510 53rd Ave., Meridian.

    • Domestic violence — Nyesha M. Williams, 19, 107 71st Pl., Meridian.

    • Domestic violence — Robert J. Lee, born 1982, 16th St., Meridian.



    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.   



    Commercial Burglary

    On Thursday at 1:07 p.m., police responded to an attempted commercial burglary in the 100 block of 23rd Street. Entry was attempted through a wall vent.   

    Stolen Vehicle

    Thursday at 8:34 p.m., police responded to a stolen vehicle call in the 3000 block of 8th Street. The owner advised police he left the keys in the vehicle and his vehicle was stolen from the parking lot. police spotted the vehicle shortly afterwards and a small vehicle pursuit and subsequent foot chase ensued. However, the suspect was able to elude police. The vehicle was returned to the owner.

    Residential Burglary

    Thursday at 1:08 a.m., police responded to a residential burglary in the 2400 block of 35th Avenue. Entry was through a door and miscellaneous items were stolen.

    Thursday at 2:22 p.m., police responded to a residential burglary in the 4500 block of 11th Street. Entry was through a door but nothing was reported stolen.   

    Thursday afternoon at 3:13 p.m., police responded to a residential burglary in the 800 block of 20th Street. Entry was through a window and a gun was stolen.  

    Thursday night at 10:49 p.m., police responded to a residential burglary in the 2000 block of Valley View Drive. Entry was through a door and money was stolen.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department      

    

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.



    • Failure to pay child support — Christopher D. Ford, 28, 1416 48th Ave., Meridian.

    • Burglary — James E. Lewis, 31, 11271 Hill Thompson Rd., Collinsville.

    

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.



    Burglary

    • 3700 block Causeyville Rd., Meridian.

    • 8800 block Pace Rd., Meridian.

    • 4900 block Valley Rd., Meridian.



Mississippi Highway Patrol



    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.



Marion Police Department



    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.



Fire runs



    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.  



    • Steam, other gas, 57th Ct.

    • Unauthorized burning, Hwy. 80 W.

    • Extrication of victim, Hwy. 493

    • Vehicle accident, 5th St.                       



    The volunteer fire departments reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.



Ambulance runs

    

    Metro Ambulance reported 32 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Thursday and 3 p.m. Friday.
