Law Enforcement Reports: 9-26-13

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • Public drunk — Jerico M. Clark, 37, 2422 45th Ave., Meridian.

    • Trespassing — Joe Clay III, 21, 2751 44th Ave., Meridian.

    • Public drunk — Michael D. Griggs, 25, 2611 10th St., Meridian.

    • Petty larceny — Ava Sheffield, 25, 200 23rd St., Meridian.

Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.   

    Residential burglary

    Tuesday at 3:55 p.m., police responded to a residential burglary in the 1100 block of 36th Avenue.

    Stolen vehicle

    At 8 a.m. Tuesday, police were called to a stolen vehicle case in the 1200 block of 17th Avenue. The owner advised the vehicle, a 1981 Chevy C-10 that is blue in color, was stolen sometime in the last 24 hours. The MS tag displayed on the vehicle is LB1851.

    At 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to a stolen vehicle case in the 4500 block of Highway 19 North. The owner advised the vehicle, a 2002 Mazda Millenia that is black in color, was stolen. The MS tag displayed on the vehicle is LAN510.

    Auto burglary

    Tuesday at 7 a.m., police responded to an auto burglary in the 700 block of Bonita Lakes Drive.

    Tuesday at 7 a.m., police responded to an auto burglary in the 700 block of Crestwood Drive.

    Tuesday at 11 p.m., police responded to a burglary of an auto in the 3100 block of Vally Street.  

Lauderdale County Sheriff's      Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • Probation violation — Jerman A. Holifield, 30, 203 South Coleman Rd., Forrest.

    • Felony motor vehicle theft — Michael Gowdy, 40, 2376 Russell Mt. Gilead Rd., Meridian.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.
