    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

    • Public profanity – Shamekia Norwood, 22, 1711 26th Ave.

    • Shoplifting – James E. Phillips, 48, 4524 Highway 39 N.

    • Shoplifting – Kenneth James Townsend, 50, 7911 Lauderdale Toomsuba Road


Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

    • Burglary – Jacoby R. Cooley, 19, 598 Ponta St.

    • Disorderly conduct – Teresa Gale Franklin, 52, 10513 Highway 493

    • Shoplifting – Andrew Inge, 63, Homeless

    • Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute – Robert Lee McDonald, Jr., 22, 1723 14th Ave.

Mississippi   Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

    • Public service assistance — 14th Street

    • Electrical wiring problem — 36th Place

    • Prescribed fire — Will Wright Road


    The Lauderdale County Volunteer Fire Departments reported no emergency runs Tuesday.

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 45 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Monday and 3 p.m. Tuesday.
