MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Possession of drugs in correctional facility — Kenshasa L. Evans, 34, 128 Wire Road, Lawrence.

    • Shoplifting — Jevonne Ford, 25, 1318 19th St., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Mikal D. McFadden, 36, 101 B St., Meridian.

    • Escape — Jacobe S. Rush, 28, 529 C St., Meridian.

    • Attempted burglary — Richard N. Whitman, 22, 8230 Eagle Point Drive, Meridian.

    

    The Meridian Police Department reported the no incidents between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    Auto burglary

    • 2600 block Myrtlewood Drive

    Burglary

    • 900 block Front Street Extension

        

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

    

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • DUI — Debra G. Daniel, 60, 734 Fairview Ave., Meridian.

    • Burglary — James E. Lewis, 30, 11271 Hill Thompson Road, Collinsville.

    • Failure to appear in justice court — Joshua M. Moulds, 29, 4028 County Road 354, Enterprise.

    • Felony motor vehicle theft — Kenneth R. Neal Jr., 27, 6338 Mosley Lake Road, Meridian.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    Vandalism

    • 1700 block Long Creek Road, Meridian.

    Theft

    • 2800 block Rob Sims Road, Meridian.

    • 9900 block Highway 493, Meridian.

    Stolen vehicle

    • 5500 block Fred Haguewood Road, Meridian.

    Burglary

    • Pine Springs Road, Meridian.

    DUI

    • Old Marion Road, Meridian.

 

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • DUI — Taquella D. Fowler, 32, 1721 Marion Russell Road, Meridian.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.    

    • Vehicle accident, 29th Avenue

    • False alarm, Briarwood Blvd.  

    The Lauderdale County Volunteer Fire Departments reported the following emergency runs.

    • Traffic accident, Highway 493 (Bailey)

    • Assist other agency, Lake Flora Drive (Toomsuba)

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 38 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Thursday.
