MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday:

    • Disturbance of a business – Wanda R. Smith, YOB:1983, 129 59th Ave.

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents Tuesday and Wednesday:

Auto Burglary

    • 4500 block of Highway 39 North.

    • 4300 block of Highway 39 North.

    • 200 block of 49th Ave., South.

    • 100 block of Highway 11 & 80.

    • 200 block of North Hills Street.

    • 100 block of Highway 11 & 80.

    • 500 bloc of Bonita Lakes Drive.

Residential Burglary

    • 7600 block of Old Eighth Street Road.

    • 3400 block of 20th Street.

    • 1500 block of Old Eighth Street Road.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday:

    • Sale of marijuana – JoAnna Maybelle Chaney, 22, 1702 16th Ave., Meridian. Chaney also faces charges for sale of controlled substance, possession of marijuana (more than 30 grams), possession of morphine and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

    • Felony malicious mischief/vandalism – Rain Dotson,19, 2124 Galilee Road, Carthage.    • Interfering with duties of police – Amy Shree, 35, 3378 B Causeyville Whnot Road, Meridian.

    • Driving Under the Influence (DUI), first offense – Jamie L. Thornton, 34, 7205 Bogue Flower Road, Meridian. Thornton also faces charges for driving with a suspended license, improper license tag display, expired tag and careless driving.

The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents between 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday:

        

    Theft

    • Highway 145, Meridian

    Burglary

    • 5900 block of Water Valley Road, Meridian.

Mississippi Department of Corrections

    The Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) reported the following arrests between 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday:

    • Probation violation – Andra DeMario Brown, 26, 1918 22nd Ave., Meridian.

    • Probation violation – Reginald Syntrel Nicks, 24, 1188 Moore Road, Porterville.

Fire runs

    

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs for Tuesday:  

    • False alarm                Oakdale Avenue

    • Vehicle accident            Highway 19 North

    • Vehicle accident            Eighth Street

Ambulance runs

    Metro Ambulance reported emergency 46 runs Wednesday at 5 p.m.
