Law Enforcement Reports: 6-4-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday:

    •  Contempt of court – Sherita Fulgham-Love, 32, 2014 30th Avenue, Meridian.

    • Court order/mandatory days – Henry Conner, 30, 1051 Highway 510, Shubuta.   

    • Malicious mischief/Vandalism – Laporshe Jones, 22, 2015 Mosby Road, Meridian. Jones also faces charges of domestic violence and telephone harassment.

    • Simple assault – Diego A. Romero-Gomez, 32, 729 Alamucha Street, Marion.

    • Simple assault – Ron K. Lewis, 41, 4313 Hooper Street, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Christopher Carter, 26, 37 Coleman Circle, Lisman, Ala.

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from 9 a.m. Monday to 9 a.m. Tuesday:


    • 4400 block of 35th Avenue.

Stolen Vehicles

    • 6200 block of 5th Street.

Residential Burglary

    • 100 block of 71st Place.

Auto Burglary

    • 100 block of Russell Drive.

    • 800 block of 29th Street.

    • 800 block of 29th Street.

    • 4300 block of 36th Avenue.


    • Meridian police officers responded to 1 shots-fired calls; officers were unable to locate evidence to support the calls.


Lauderdale County Sheriff's      Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday:

    • Compulsory School Attendance  – Ashley Abdulmogni, 34, 9812 Highway 495, Meridian. Abdulmogni also faces an additional charge of compulsory school attendance.

    • Possession of methamphetamine – Brandon E. Fields, 45, 108 Pioneer Circle 2, Horseshoe bend, AZ.

    • Disorderly conduct/failure to obey law enforcement officer – Joshua George, 26, 1170 Aycock Road, Meridian. George also faces a charge of resisting arrest.     

    •  Driving under the influence (DUI) first offense – Christopher Moffett, 33, 4009 36th Avenue, Meridian. Moffett also faces charges of having a switched license plate, having an expired tag, and having no liability insurance.

    • Contempt of court - Connie Moore, 47, 6532 Sanders Road, Causeyville.

    • Violation of order or agreement - Jaylon J. Ruffin, 14, 3521 35th Avenue, Meridian.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents between 9 a.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday:



    • 1100 block of Aycock Road, Meridian.


    • 9000 block of Highway 19 North, Meridian.

 Rape or attempted rape

    • 4300 block of Leroy Naylor Road, Lauderdale

Intoxicated driver

    • 0 Front Street Exit/8th Avenue, Meridian.


    • 5000 block of Reese Road, Meridian.
