MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:30 a.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. Friday:

    • Driving Under the Influence (DUI), second offense – Yerby Lee Hughes III, 64, 5074 Cedar Lake Road, Meridian. Hughes also faces a charge for disorderly conduct/failure to obey a law enforcement officer.

    • Domestic violence, felony – DuMarcus Temple, 18, 107 71st Place 94, Meridian. Temple also faces a charge for not having liability insurance.

    • Shoplifting – Regina L. Burrell    , 36,    77 County Road 469, Meridian.

    • Violation of Mississippi Compulsory School Attendance Law – Rameka D. Brooks, 29, 3505 52nd Ave.

    • Simple assault – Shelby Woodard, 19, 2415 40th Ave., Meridian. Woodard also faces charges for trespassing and telephone harassment.

    • Mississippi Compulsory School Attendance Law, two counts – James Houston, 48, 817 Church Ave., Meridian.

    • Mississippi Compulsory School Attendance Law, two counts – Wendy Nolan, 40, 7100 Highway 80 West, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Alexis Mitchell, 31, 3505 31st St., Meridian.

    • Mississippi Compulsory School Attendance Law – Sheila Anderson, 30, 200 23rd St., Meridian.

    • Mississippi Compulsory School Attendance Law – Debra Cooper, 44, 200 23rd St., Meridian.

    • Mississippi Compulsory School Attendance Law – Tracy Bennamon, 46, 200 23rd St., Meridian.

    • Mississippi Compulsory School Attendance Law – Erica Chaney, 34, 200 23rd St., Meridian.

    • DUI, first offense – Monica Graham, 33, 138 County Road 440, Meridian.

    • Petit larceny – Charles Brown, 25,    1200 44th Ave., Meridian.

    • Mississippi Compulsory School Attendance Law – Iresha Sims, 35, 107 71st Place, Meridian.

    • Mississippi Compulsory School Attendance Law – Kimberly Ivory, 27, 107 71st Place, Meridian.

    • Mississippi Compulsory School Attendance Law – Kennishra Pollard, 31, 1719 Highway 19 North, Meridian.

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Thursday to

Friday:

Robbery

    • Victim came to the Meridian Police Department and reported he was robbed by two black males armed with a gun.

Commercial Burglary

    • 1100 block of B Street.

Residential Burglaries

    • 3400 block of 56th Place.

    • 1100 block of 26th Avenue. 

Shootings

    • Meridian Police officers responded to 5 shots-fired calls; they were unable to locate evidence to support the calls.

                    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8:30 a.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. Friday:
