MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

    • Contributing to the delinquency of minor — Zanbrianna Avery, 21, 4030 35th Ave., Meridian.

    • Giving false information — Katherine C. Caffey, 37, 503 41st Ave., Meridian.

    • Petty larceny — Melvin L. Clark, 33, 1318 19th St., Meridian.

    • Domestic violence — Nehesha Collins, 25, 224 MLK Dr., Meridian.

    • Public drunk — William S. Johnson, 58, 701 Bonita Lakes Dr., Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct — Taquantis C. Lemon, 26, 200 22nd Ave., Meridian.

    • Public drunk — Jose H. C. Lopez, 34, 3490 Grandview Dr., Meridian.

    • Indecent exposure — Anna M. Monegan, 49, homeless, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Jacquita R. Persley, 20, 5110 South 1st St., Louisville, KY.

    • Domestic violence — Rodriques Toole, 36, 902 29th St., Meridian.

    • 1800 block of Old Marion Rd., unknown time, 2002 Dodge Ram, silver, NV2-544.

    • 200 block of Hwy. 19 N., key left in vehicle, daytime, recovered.

    • 300 block of 63rd Pl., daytime, key left in vehicle. 1996 Ford Windstar, white, DB50095.

    • 6300 block of 10th St., key left in vehicle, nighttime, 1997 Mercury Mountaineer, white, 15A29N9.

    • 35th Ave. and 20th Street, daytime, key left in vehicle, recovered.

    • 1500 block of 31st Ave., key left in vehicle, nighttime, recovered.


    At about 10 p.m. Saturday, a man reported to police that someone tried to rob him at gunpoint in the 200 block of 31st Avenue. The man was able to escape the attempt on foot. Shots were fired at the man as he fled but he was unharmed. The case is under investigation.

    On Thursday, Meridian Police Department authorities arrested 18-year-old Jakirie M. Gordon of Meridian and charged him with statutory rape. His bond was set at $30,000.
