MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

    • Disorderly conduct — Anthony M. Johnson, 36, 3729 South St., Meridian.

    • Domestic violence — Bonnie K. Scott, 48, 803 29th St., Meridian.

    • Domestic violence — Kevin Walk, 40, 400 45th St., Meridian.

    • Possession of marijuana — Reo L. Thompson, 31, 2015 Mosby Rd., Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct — John K. Stewart, 27, 8965 Westwood Dr., Meridian.

    • Public drunk — Michael D. Griggs, 26, 2611 10th St., Meridian.

    • Public drunk — Thomas Keith, 30, 1948 Cypress Mill Rd., Meridian.

    • Begging — James R. Broadway, 48, 6817 Zero Rd., Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct — Angela C. Williams, 42, 1618 8th Ave., Meridian.

    • Public drunk — Lonnie Prather, 47, 3204 12th St., Meridian.

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.  

    Commercial Burglary

    • At 2:37 a.m. Monday, police responded to a commercial burglary in the 2600 block of A Street. Officers arrived at 2:37 a.m. and determined that entry was gained through a fence.

    Auto Burglary

    • At 8:23 a.m. Sunday, police responded to an auto burglary in the 4100 block of Ninth Street. Officers arrived at 8:30 a.m. and determined that entry was gained through a door.

    Shootings

    Meridian Police Officers responded to 17 shots fired calls over the weekend.  When officers arrived on scene they were unable to locate any evidence to the support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests from 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

    • Failure to pay child support — Roosevelt Anderson, 58, 1816 22nd Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI — Wirley Boyd Jr., 57, 838 Tamola Rd., DeKalb.

    • DUI — Jose A. Casas, 32, 358 Mesquite Dr., Brownsville, Texas.

    • DUI — Jerry Dunnigan, 35, 1934 26th Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI — Rico M. Gowdy, 22, 2708 Edgewood Dr., Meridian.

    • Failure to pay justice court — Bobby R. Huggins, 55, 3807 Valley St., Meridian.

    • Probation violation — Angela L. James, 54, 8613 Hwy. 495, Meridian.

    • DUI — Willie F. McConnell, 46, 80 Jimison Spur Rd., Lauderdale.

    • DUI — Justin R. Moore, 24, 2502 42nd Ave., Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct — Derrick Neail, 24, 2320 15th Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI — Takeesha R. Ruffin, 25, 1118 35th Ave., Meridian.

    • Possession of marijuana — Bobby J. Smith, 24, 946 Powell Rd., Meridian.

    • DUI — Cortez Walker, 21, 1951 Old Marion Rd., Meridian.
