MERIDIAN —         The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

 

        • Shoplifting — Hollyann N. Humphrey, 29, 7298 Old Country Club Pl., Meridian.

        • Shoplifting — Alissa S. Washington, 25, 213 Jasper Hwy., Meridian.

        • Shoplifting — Susanna L. Anderson, 41, 212 Jasper Hwy., Meridian.

        • Simple assault — Lyndell M. Pritchard, 26, 3018 42nd St., Meridian.

        • Fraudulent 911 calls — John Yohannan, 55, 1010 North Frontage Rd., Meridian.

        • False pretense — Rayshawn D. Penry, 21, 3817 36th St., Meridian.

        • Possession of paraphernalia — Zaxhary George, 24, 3527 North Shore Dr., Toomsuba.

 

        The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday. 

 

        Commercial Burglary

        • At 9:13 a.m. Monday, police responded to a commercial burglary in the 6800 block of Highway 80 West. Officers arrived at 9:42 a.m. and determined that entry was gained through a door.

        Stolen Vehicles

        • At 7:51 a.m. Monday, police responded to a stolen vehicle report in the 200 block of 49th Avenue South. Officers arrived in 10 minutes and determined that the lock was cut off the gate and taken a truck.

        Shootings

        MPD officers responded to two shots fired calls. When officers arrived on scene they were unable to locate any evidence to support the calls.

 

        The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests from 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

 

        • Possession of drugs in a correctional facility — Deshaun T. Carter, 32, 1589 CR 150, Quitman.

        • Probation violation — Amber B. Johnson, 27, 203 5th Avenue S., Meridian.

        • Felony domestic violence — Geno L. Jones, 23, 2201 First Ave., Meridian.

        • Petty larceny — Courtney Larkin, 31, 910 Lost Horse Rd., Meridian.

        • Domestic violence — Melvin L. Rascoe Jr., 23, 5142 Zero Rd., Meridian.

        • DUI — Joseph D. Reynolds, 34, 5392 Mini Farm Rd., Meridian.

        • Sale of controlled substance — Ashley N. Roulston, 28, 4068 Old Homestead Rd., Meridian.

        • Armed robbery — Jimmy D. Rush Jr., 20, 2462 36th Pl., Meridian.

        • Possession of contraband in a correctional facility — Gregory A. Smith, 25, East Mississippi Correctional Facility, Lost Gap.

        • Possession of contraband in correctional facility — Laquintin K. Trussell, 27, 1527 48th Ave., Meridian.

       

       

        The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

        Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

 

        • DUI — David A. Covington, 27, 296 Harper Rd., Meridian.

        • DUI — Tyrel J. Lee, 33, 1505 Long Creek Rd., Meridian.

 

        The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

 

        The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

        • Vehicle accident, 65th Ave.

        • Building fire, 27th Pl.

        • Vehicle accident, Hwy. 19 N.

        • Electrical problem, 35th Ave.

        • Bomb scare, Hwy. 19 S.

        The volunteer fire departments reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

        • Brush fire, Pinedale Rd. (Suqualena)
