Law Enforcement Reports: 4-04-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Possession of a weapon by felon — Deondra D. Brandon, 23, 10415 Rabbit Road, Meridian.

    • Indecent exposure — Linda D. Harris, 46, 2811 42nd Ave., Meridian.

    • Felon in possession of a firearm — Schron L. Phillips, 22, 3004 Mt. Barton Road, Meridian.

    •  Shoplifting — Tammy Strickland, 54, 10511 Cow Creek Road, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Mario Ponce, 50, 10511 Cow Creek Road, Meridian.

    • Public drunk — Michael Boyd, 43, 1304 37th St., Meridian.

    • Simple assault — Calvin Hall, 32, 614 69th Ave., Meridian.

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.  

    Auto Burglary

    • At 9:51 a.m. Wednesday, a victim came to the police department to report an auto burglary that occurred in the 200 block of 23rd Street.   

    Residential Burglary

    • At 4:45 p.m. Monday, police responded to a burglary in the 2300 block 39th Street.

    • At 6:51 p.m. Monday, police responded to a burglary in the 3800 block of Country Club Drive.

    • At 2:58 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a burglary in the 3600 block of 25th Avenue.

    Shootings

    Meridian police responded to five reports of shots fired in the city.  When officers arrived in the area they were unable to find any evidence to support shots had been fired.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department

      The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests from 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday

    • Burglary — Cleveland A. Burks, 34, 4806 Manning St., Meridian.

    • Armed robbery — Robert D. Edwards, 16, 2938 Russell Camp Road, Meridian.

    • Felony DUI — Michael L. Lewis, 40, 102 American St., Newport News, Miss.

    • Probation violation — Johnathan M. Patrick, 30, 3975 KOA Campground Road, Toomsuba.

    • Simple assault — Melissa A. Smith, 33, 1213 Dogwod Lake Road, Meridian.

    • DUI — Johnny C. Tooles, 44, 2684 Hwy. 496, Meridian.

    

    Incident Reports

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    Theft

    • 2000 block 5th St., Meridian.

    • 4100 block Old 8th St. Road, Meridian.

    Burglary

    • 2600 block Bolen Long Creek Road, Meridian.

    • 1200 block Dogwood Lake Road, Meridian.

    Traffic accident

    • 4400 block Causeyville Road, Meridian.
