MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department



    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:48 a.m. Tuesday and 8:48 a.m. Wednesday:



    • Possession of marijuana, first offense – Curtis Junior Houston, 35, 5005 Druid Lane, Meridian. Houston is also charged with disorderly conduct/failure to obey law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, providing false information, failure to appear (Justice Court), three counts and contempt of court.

    • Domestic violence/Simple assault, two counts – Geno L. Jones, 22, 2223 16th Ave., Meridian. Jones is also charged with contempt of court.

    • Domestic violence – Freeman Jones, Jr., born 1961, Pleasant Hill Road, Meridian.



    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 12:01 a.m. Tuesday and 12:59 a.m. Tuesday:



Residential Burglary

    • 5100 block of Chandler, daytime

    • 1100 block of 45th Avenue, nighttime

    • George Reece Courts, unknown time

    • 1200 block of 13th Street, daytime



Commercial Burglary

     • 500 block of E Street, nighttime



Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department



    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8:48 a.m. Tuesday and 8:48 a.m. Wednesday:



    • Disturbance in public place — Cornelius Kincaid, 20, 720 Davie Road, Louisville. Kincaid is also charged with malicious mischief/vandalism.

    • Simple assault on a minor – Allen Earl Nause, 31, 311 Branch Estates Road, Meridian. Nause is also charged with malicious mischief/vandalism.

    • Probation violation – Prince David Pickett, 33, 710 B St. 62, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting, less than $250 – Melanda N. Smith, 33, 11280 Center HillMartin Road, Collinsville. Smith is also charged with petit larceny, up to $500



    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents between 8:48 a.m. Tuesday and 8:48 a.m. Wednesday:



    Burglary

    • 10200 block Woods Road, Meridian



    Vandalism

    • 900 block Highway 19 North, Collinsville



Fire Runs



    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs:

    • False alarm        Rubush Drive



    The Lauderdale County Volunteer Fire Departments reported no emergency runs.



Ambulance Runs



    Metro Ambulance reported 60 emergency runs Wednesday at 3 p.m.
