MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    • Shoplifting — Paisley Bell, 21, 205 Fisher Ave., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Jaamiliya S. Whitsett, 26, 205 Fisher Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI — Krystal D. Diamond, 28, 6300 Fisher Road, Meridian.

    • Malicious mischief — William Moffett, 50, 6166 Causeyville Road, Meridian.

    • Carrying a concealed weapon — Duane D. Bush, 23, 1621 5th St., Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct — Jeffery R. Gordon, 26, 1309 45th Ave., Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct — Dennis J. Kist, 25, 3 Elm St., Machias, Maine.

    • Felon in possession of a weapon — Demetrius S. Tell, 33, 2252 44th Ave., Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.  

    Stolen Vehicles

    • At 3:56 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a stolen vehicle in the 2000 block of Highway 39 North.     

    Auto Burglary

    • At 8:37 p.m. Thursday, a victim came to the police department to report an auto burglary that occurred in 1800 block of 5th Avenue.  

    At 11:03 p.m. Thursday, police responded to an auto burglary in the 700 block of Highway 19 North.

    Residential Burglary

    • At 12:46 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a burglary in the 3500 block of 42nd Street.

    • At 7:51 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a burglary in the 4400 block of 40th Avenue.

    At 12:48 a.m. Friday, police responded to a burglary in the 5400 block of Valley Street.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests from 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday

    • Failure to pay child support — Randall G. Culberson, 48, 2710 Valley Road, Meridian.

    • Possession of paraphernalia — Johnn F. Gowdy, 51, 9735 Gowdy Road, Lauderdale.

    • DUI — Melvin L. Gowdy, 39, 4067 York Road, Lauderdale.

    • Intent to defraud-credit card — Robert C. Haskins, 48, 31 CR 3511, Meridian.

    • Probation violation — Juantonious, M. McDonald, 32, 1911 33rd Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI — Mitchell J. Roberts, 22, 8269 Old Hwy. 494, Collinsville.

    • Public drunk — Bobby E. Smith, 61, 2714 Valley Road, Meridian.

    • Armed robbery — Qtwan B. Sturdivant, 19, 3292 Rob John Road, Ward, Ala.

    • Receiving stolen property — Geremy S. Wilkerson, 30, 3533 Hwy. 11/80, Toomsuba.

    • DUI — Fred M. Young, 51, 6323 13th Pl., Meridian.

    

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.
