    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests from 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday

    • DUI — Kevin J. Bourg, 21, 6811 Hwy. 308, Belle Rose, LA.

    • Felony DUI — Walter R. Dearmond, 46, 111 Ramada Cir., Jackson.

    • DUI — Sterling D. Evans, 42, 2703 Grandview Drive, Meridian.

    • Probation violation — Bennie B. Hill, 126 Clark Ave., Shannon.

    • Felony bad check — Marlene L. Kimbrell, 48, 6690 Rose Ln., Marion.

    • DUI — Tristan B. Mauldin, 18, 11852 Nutt Road, Collinsville.

    • Possession of cocaine — John E. Palmer Jr., 18, 2900 St. Paul St., Meridian.

    • Simple assault — Meghann D. Parker, 23, 3852 Old Hwy. 19 SE., Meridian.

    • Attempted burglary — Jakuavis D. Powe, 18, 1901 23rd St., Meridian.

    • Possession of paraphernalia — David E. Pruett, 29, 5550 Omitted Road, Meridian.

    • DUI — D'Metric M. Sterling, 39, 303 Pineview Cir., Quitman.

    • DUI — Alex E. Thompson, 19, 901 C St., Meridian.

    • Domestic violence — Demetruis D. Young, 35, 513 33rd Ave., Meridian.

    • Hwy. 39 N., Meridian.

    • Lauderdale Toomsuba Road, Meridian

    • Front St., Meridian.

    • Hwy. 495, Bailey.

    • Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian.

    Armed robbery

    • 2100 block Russell Mt. Gilead Road, Meridian.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

    • Disorderly conduct — Sanchez Benigno Jr., 33, Pine Creek Hwy. 39, Meridian.

    • Public drunk — Hugo Raymondo Jr., 43, 9746 Forest Drive, Meridian.

Fire runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Sunday.   


    • Arcing, shorted electrical, Bounds Road

    • Outside rubbish fire, 10th St.

    • Vehicle accident, Hwy. 19 S.


    • Vehicle accident 37th Ave.

    • False call, 38th Ave.


    • Heat from short circuit, 21st St.

    • Vehicle accident, Hwy. 39 N.

    • False alarm, Apache Ridge Road            

    The volunteer fire departments reported no emergency runs between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

Ambulance runs


    Metro Ambulance reported 31 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Sunday and 3 p.m. Monday.
